CRNA: Courtesy Permit Employer Confirmation Required

{{FormatDate CurrentDate}}
Registration #{{RegistrationNumber}}

Hello {{RegistrantFirstName}},

Thank you for your courtesy permit application. Courtesy permits are short-term permits granted to RNs and NPs coming to practice in Alberta with active good standing registration in another Canadian province for only the following reasons:

We require the following outstanding information before we can begin to assess your application:

If your reason for practicing nursing in Alberta is not listed above, then you may not be eligible for a courtesy permit. If this is the case, please let us know so we can withdraw your courtesy permit application, convert any permit fees paid to a credit and make the appropriate application available for you to submit.

Please note a courtesy permit may be no longer than 3 months from your start date and cannot exceed the end date of your RN/NP registration with another Canadian jurisdiction.  If you require registration in Alberta for longer than 3 months, we recommend applying for a full RN/NP permit as an out-of-province applicant.

If we haven’t received a response within 90 days from the date of this email, your application will lapse, your permit fee will be refunded, and you will need to reapply.

If you require more assistance, please contact us by email at registration@nurses.ab.ca or by phone at 1.800.252.9392. Ensure you include your CRNA registration number with all email correspondence.

Thank you,
